Stonehenge
Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument in southern England made up of a circular setting of large stones. It was built in stages with the first stones erected in 2400-2200 BCE.
Archaeo-astronomers think Stonehenge represents an ancient observatory. The actual purpose and extent of it use is still in dispute. Notwithstanding, its scale, age and architectural sophistication have impressed people for ages.
